Major roads in south Puget Sound lowlands are clear. A light drizzle
has been falling for most of the day; no snow in the forecast. The
challenge with respect to road access occurs when on the secondary
roads. Also, any destination that is little used or that involves
parking adjacent to a cleared road may pose a problem, as these areas
are heaped with snow from plows. Most areas in south Sound received
12-16 inches of snow and much of this - although becoming slushy - is
still on the ground. I recommend using a vehicle with high clearance
and 4-wheel drive (or chains/cables) unless you have good information
about the condition of local secondary roads and options for parking off
the road once you have reached your destination.
