Greetings:

For the last two days the Montlake Fill has had 5 Trumpeter Swans feeding just off the shore of the Laurelhurst neighborhood. On Saturday we saw a single Show Goose and was told by a couple of birders that they had seen about 10 of them on behind the soccer fields on Saturday but we did not see them to confirm that.

Saturday, December 27th: TRUMPETER SWANS, SNOW GOOSE, American Wigeons, Green Winged Teals, Gadwalls, Mallards, Bald Eagles (two adults calling to each other), Hooded Mergansers, Common Mergansers, King Fisher, Kinglets, Chickadees, Robins, Red Winged Blackbirds, Flickers, Song Sparrows, Crows, PEREGRINE FALCON, Buffleheads

Sunday, December 28th: Trumpeter Swans, American Wigeons, Buffleheads, Mallards, Gadwalls, Hooded Mergansers, Double Crested Cormorants, Golden Crown Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Juncos, Chickadees, Robins, Red Winged Blackbirds, Canad Geese, Great Blue Herons, Scaups, Ruby Crowned Kinglet, Marsh Wrens, Green Winged Teals, Coots, Pied Billed Grebes, Anna's Hummingbird, House Sparrows, Wood Ducks, Northern Shovelers (large group vortexing or as I like to say Shovelers shoveling), Bewick's Wren and Red Tailed Hawk.

We also saw a fresh water otter near the Conibear Shellhouse and a dead beaver on the lawn at Conibear Shellhouse.

Cheers!
