Subject: [Tweeters] our Pine Siskin invasion

Tweeters: there have been numerous flocks of Pine Siskins being reported
but any this far south? After our snow was "washed" from our feeders (ground
and tray and hanging), they began to arrive . . . 6 at a time on the seed
feeder with 4-6 below on the porch railing beneath--then perhaps 10-20 on the
deck for fallen seeds . . . then 80-100 on the ground where we feed the seed
eaters . . .
This is more than we've ever seen at one time--we're keeping a wary
eye out for something suspiciously red/auburn/pinkish
"crowned/naped/necked/anything" ?!
We were without power forever last evening--hope you all are O.K.--
Murray
