Yesterday I went to the Kent Ponds in the afternoon. There was still some ice present. There were three Swans in the middle of the ponds. Two Bald Eagles were very active. I also went over to the Riverview Marsh, which was frozen. There I found an American Bittern in the brush! I also had a great Coyote encounter.

To complete my day I found a Scrub Jay and 4 Waxwings. This was on the paved trail just east of the ponds. I have come to expect Scrub Jays here.
