Hello to everyone,
This is my first time posting and I am new to the Tweeters Digest as of January.
So here it goes:
I live in Fife and I want to find a close area that is filled with a great opportunities to find some fun birds. I need an area that is close, so I can get there fast and spend more time watching than driving, since my time is limited. I was hopefully trying to find a nice hotspot place like Montlake Fill in Seattle ,
I am looking mostly for songbirds and woodpeckers, but any bird will do. I have visited spots along Hylebos Creek, south of Enchanted Parkway, but it has been dug up and they reformed a bridge that way there and now the wildlife has seemed to vanish. It was great for Marsh Wrens and red-Winged Blackbirds, Mallards and etc.

Any help on some Hotspots would be great to know. Just to let you know, I am aware of Commencement Bay for Great Blue Heron and that the Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge are fun places to go.

I also get these Backyard birds on a daily basis as I have feeders up and running 24/7::
Steller's Jays,Black-capped Chickadee, Chestnut-backed Chickadee , Townsend's Warbler, Fox Sparrows, Song Sparrows, Golden-crowned Sparrows, Spotted Towhees, Downy Woodpeckers, Northern Flickers, Juncos, Red-Breasted Nuthatch, Anna's Hummingbird, House Sparrow, House Finch and American Goldfinches . Yesterday I had a Sharp-Shinned Hawk come by for a visit. He flew low at about 4-5 feet off the ground, it was quite a sight to see out the sliding glass door. Also got my first Varied Thrush this winter.

Thanks in advance for any help given.
