Hi Alexia:

This probably won't be practical for you since we are in the Okanogan and that probably doesn't qualify as "greater eastside"....but we regularly have a Cooper's and a sharpie that cruise through our backyard. There is definitely a ruckus when it happens. First there is a big outcry from the smaller birds (quail, housesparrows, juncos, housefinches, goldfinches, etc.) as they dive for cover in the bushes...then silence. We have seen the Cooper's grab a quail and start to fly off, then a bald eagle dive-bombed the Cooper's which dropped the quail, and the eagle swooped in and grabbed the quail and proceeded to head to a nearby pole downriver to have breakfast. Bad day for the quail.

Anyway, I'm not sure if we'd be set up to do any recording, but if you're over in Okanogan sometime, it's a pretty regular occurrence at our place.
