Subject: [Tweeters] Harris's Sparrow continues in Carnation, King Co

Tweets - It appears that there are TWO Harris's Sparrows along 100th St. in
the Snoqualmie Valley. I'd been looking for about an hour, along with Kathy
Andrich and Carol Riddell. Ed and Grace Kane showed up, and we found a
bunch of sparrows on the north side of the road well to the east.

At one point a bunch flew up into the bushes, and Ed and I both announced
that we were on "the" Harris's. Only my bird flew and his didn't. We had
several more looks at Harris's Sparrows over the next 45 minutes or so. One
has just a small amount of black on the chest. The other has the black
extending in a thin line across the top of the chest, as well as dripping
down the front. One is more orange-headed than the other as well.

Carol spotted a White-throated Sparrow amongst them, so she got a 4 Zono
day. Not I. :(

> Hi Tweets -
> The Harris's Sparrow was seen by several people today, in a variety of
> locations near where it has been described in recent posts. I believe at
> the beginning of the day, it was right by the road at the slough [on 100th
> St., ~ 1/4 mi east of W.Snoqualmie Valley Rd.]. I saw it later in the
> morning around 9:30-10:00, a bit further east. There's a driveway on the
> south side of the road, marked with a bunch of free lawnmowers at its
> entrance. The zono flock was bathing in the puddles in the long driveway
