If you are tempted to use poison to kill rats I would suggest a highly
effective, and non transferable toxic solution. Take a 400mg capsule of
Vitamin D and mix with peanut butter. The Vitamin D in one capsule will
lethally disrupt the calcium metabolism of rats or mice but will not harm
squirrels, cats, dogs, hawks, etc. Some of the commercial poisons on the
market transfer from dead rat to scavengers.
