Hello Everyone,

I finally got my first my first female Townsend's Warbler today Feb 4,2008 at 2:00pm. The male comes by everyday and has been for a few months now, he is a 3rd year visitor. Interesting to see that the female is much paler and smaller the male.

I also have 2 Red-breasted Nuthatches coming to my feeders for the first time. Normally it is only 1 that comes for a visit. I can't tell if the newer one is female, as they look the same to me as I haven't gained a closer look. I do know that they hangout together, as they fly around and share the same branches in the trees.


I also have a couple other questions to ask.
When do the birds that migrate start to return to the area around Seattle to Tacoma ( Puget Sound)? And by about what date would you expect all birds to have returned? Is there a list of all the birds that migrate from this area, somewhere online that I can gain access to?

I have been using eBIRD to track my backyard birds.
