Following is notice of a public meeting regarding the Vaux Swift roosting
chimney in Monroe, WA. Many Audubon chapters and other organizations have
come together in an attempt to save this chimney from destruction.
This is YOUR chance to show your support for saving the chimney. Please
attend if you can.

The second largest group of Vaux Swifts in the World comes to Monroe twice a
year and uses the chimney of the Frank Wagner Elementary school.
Learn more about this very unique, small, migratory bird and why it has
chosen Monroe
Be part of a Community Team working to save this large colony of Vaux
Swifts. And celebrate their choice of Monroe!

Wildlife and Swift Expert, Larry Schwitters will share their knowledge and
experience about Vaux Swifts. You can learn more about what is happening in
Monroe and share your own history and information about the colony.
The Audubon team will share some possible plans and ideas to help Save Our
Swifts but local community support is needed. Contribute your ideas and be a
part of this effort. Together we can celebrate these birds and keep them in
