Subject: [Tweeters] Okanogan Highlands - very slow yesterday

I spent several hours in the Okanogan Highlands, Havillah - Chesaw area yesterday. It was very slow. But I did see one of my target species - Snow Buntings - a lifer for me. There were about 30 at the previously reported spot at Nealy Road = Havillah Rd. junction.

Only saw one Red-Breasted Nuthatch on Nealy Rd. Nothing at all north of Chesaw. One small flock of Red-Breasted Nuthatches, Mountain Chickadees and a few Black-Capped Chickadees on Mary Ann Creek Rd. Also flushed 2 grouse but did not get a good look at them.

Good birding,
