This am, while walking the dog in our gale force winds, I took notice of how the waterfowl were adapting to this weather. The normal group of gulls have been spending most of the time just hovering in the air, trying not to collide with one another or get blown into a sailboat mast or tree.

This week, the Brants have reappeared to join the last of the American Wigeons. This am the Wigeons are nowhere to be seen, but the Brants are valiantly trying to stay afloat amidst crashing waves and blowing sea foam. You know it's bad when even they have to take flight to avoid being drowned.

Took a few pictures and posted them on my Flickr site if anyone is interested. Stay warm and dry, and no flying kites today!
