As of yesterday noon the Arctic Loon at Brownsmead, OR was still
accepting visitors.

If you want an encounter with this species you should consider making
the trip. Arctic Loon is a very difficult bird to find. Most North
American listers go to Nome, AK for it and it's not a sure thing. The
Oregon individual has been pretty much staying in the same spot for a
long time-2 months? With any luck you can get good close looks without
getting out of the vehicle.
