Tweets,
A winter plumage ARCTIC LOON was seen in Drayton Harbor along the north
Blaine waterfront on Thursday afternoon by Bob Sundstrom while leading a
VENT tour group. Bob describes the location as in the bay along the road
that goes out to Drayton Harbor at Blaine's north end. It was first seen at
close range from a vantage point just before reaching the wooden dock that
one can drive out on. From its original location in the bay just north of
this spot (approx 70 feet away) the bird moved further out and was observed
near the base of the spit. This area is across the bay from Semiahmoo
Resort. Bob's email: ixoreus AT scattercreek.com. He returns later in the
week. Good birding!
