WOW! LOADS of activity today!

A varied thrush paid a visit - always very nice! A cooper's hawk tried to have lunch in my weeping pussywillow, but the Towhees remained steadfast, hiding amongst the branches. About eight red breasted nuthatches, and three pair of flickers have been hanging around, as well as a pair of Annas hummingbirds, several pine siskins, and what I think might be a finch (not sure, just a cursory glance, he sure looked siskinish, but the color wasn't just right). My Hairy and Downy woodpeckers haven't been as active as they usually are, but they've popped in, lots of black capped chickadees (10-12) and a scattering of Juncos (4-6) have also come by. I just went out on the front porch, and watched two clouds of pine siskins fly by!! I kid you not, the numbers must've been 100-150 per group, and watching them fly by was amazing!

The feeder was relocated to the front yard, and everyone has found it successfully. Thank you all for putting my fears to rest. :O) In fact, I think that feeder is seeing more action out in the front yard than it did on the porch!

My two battling squirrels have become invisible - most likely due to the large predatory visitor...
