Hello, Tweets!

Coming up on BirdNote the week of February 11, we feature the
thunderbird, three kingfishers, allopreening, lovebirds for Valentine's
Day, and info about the Great Backyard Bird Count. See photos here:

We're also trying something new. Instead of telling you only what's
coming UP on BirdNote, at the end of a week, we'll also send you links
to the shows that aired the previous week. That way, you can look and
listen at your leisure.

So here goes. This past week, we aired:
* The Whisper Song of the Steller's Jay
http://www.birdnote.org/birdnote.cfm?id=1020
* Song of the American Dipper
http://www.birdnote.org/birdnote.cfm?id=1028
* Greatest Migration on Earth: Sooty Shearwaters
http://www.birdnote.org/birdnote.cfm?id=1018
* Birds in Music (most unusual!)
http://www.birdnote.org/birdnote.cfm?id=1427
* Sizing up Birds of Prey

BirdNote is a two-minute radio show, which you can hear live on KPLU*
KOHO**, or KTOO*** in Juneau, or listen to on the web. Also available as
a podcast. Each is accompanied by a photograph on the web site. All
episodes are in the archives, both in written transcript and MP3 format.
Depending on your connection, you may listen on-line or download the
MP3. Check out the web site: http://www.birdnote.org

Introduce a child to BirdNote. Children who grow up with an appreciation
of nature will protect the environment as adults. Our future
conservationists!
