Hello All,

This cool (51 F) day MerryLynn and I hit the north end of the county and
ended up as usual at the Walla Walla River delta. It was overcast with brief
periods of blue sky and sunshine for the vitamin D deficient of eastern
Washington. Birds of note were:

2. Glaucous Gull-one second winter bird above LoMo Dam.
3. Western Gull-one adult above LoMo Dam.
4. Glaucous-winged Gull- seven birds above LoMo Dam.
5. Herring Gull- 25+ above LoMo Dam
6. Calif. Gull- 40+ above LoMo Dam
7. Ring-billed Gull-8 birds above LoMo Dam
All of these Gull species came into chumming with day old bread off the
south apron of the dam.
8. Lapland Longspur-3 birds along Barstow Rd.
9. Northern Shrike-2 birds along Lyons Ferry Rd.
10. Long-eared Owl-2 birds along Smith Springs Rd.
11. Great Horned Owl-2 birds along Smith Springs Rd.
12. Pacific Loon-1 bird below Ice Harbor Dam on the Snake River.
13. Spotted Sandpiper-1 bird on Ice Harbor Dam-this bird has been here sense
Nov.07. Our first wintering record in Walla Walla County.
14.Mew Gull-2 birds at the Walla Walla River delta along with 700+ gulls
that came into chumming an hour before sundown.
