I saw two White Tailed Kites flying and then one of them perched within easy
viewing distance with 10 X 50 binoculars at about 4 PM this afternoon. In
addition I saw the following in a drive through of the reserve:

American Widgeon
Mallard
Northern Shoveler
Ring-necked Duck
Greater Scaup
Lesser Scaup
Bufflehead
Common Merganser
Pied-billed Grebe
Western Grebe
Double-crested Cormorant
Great Blue Heron
Northern Harrier
Red-tailed Hawk
American Kestral
American Coot
Belted Kingfisher
American Crow
Common Raven
American Robin
European Starling
Fox Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Golden-crowned Sparrow
Dark-eyed Junco
Red-winged Blackbird
Brewer's Blackbird
House Sparrow

Plus, a good size herd of elk.
