At this very moment we are inundated with Pine Siskins. This is usual. We have close to 100. Along with this we have, in much smaller numbers, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEES, STARLINGS, DARK EYED JUNCOS, AND HOUSE FINCHES.

What is new this morning was a single MORNING DOVE and a single NORTHERN FLICKER! We were very excited. We've never had a flicker in our yard, the habitat hasn't been to their liking I guess. Perhaps our growing plants and trees are finally such that they'll venture to our yard.

Great day for the bird count!
