Hi Everyone,

Today my wife and I spent an hour or so walking the trail at Stillwater right when the fog was (finally) lifting for the day (it was still relatively thick at around 11:00 am). There is lots of water in the marshy areas, and it was relatively birdy as well. Highlights included three VIRGINIA RAIL that quickly answered a recording and hand-claps, and a pair of BROWN CREEPERS that were working trees literally right next to the trail. This provided a really rare (at least for me) opportunity to shoot this species in good light. One of the images is at http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=5663520&cat=38988. Also, for the last month or so, there has been a beautiful male RING-NECKED PHEASANT working the fields and thickets around Fall City Farms, on Neal Road off Highway 203 in Fall City. Yesterday, he was close enough to the road to take a couple of shots from the car - one of these is at http://www.tubbsphoto.com/-/tubbsphoto/detail.asp?photoID=566352!
