Subject: [Tweeters] Mystery Bird Help

I'd like some help identifying a bird that flew (actually glided) over
my back yard today. This was about four in the afternoon. I only saw
it for a few seconds, but had my camera with me and was able to take
only one shot as it flew past and away from me. From my quick look it
seemed to be about crow size and possibly a little larger. The picture
has not been sharpened or color corrected. The sun was starting to get
low in the sky.

The photograph can be found at my picture gallery:

Check in the "Mystery" album near the bottom and look at "Mystery Bird
B01". Thanks for any help. You can reply to me directly by email
rather than posting to Tweeters if you like.

On another subject, a bunch of crows that make their way to Kenmore
every night decided to use the trees behind our neighbor's houses as
an assembly point last night. The trees are part of the Lake Forest
Park Water Department's watershed and several hundred crows
congregated there before moving on toward Kenmore at about 5:30. We've
lived here 20 years and I've never seen that happen. Usually they just
pass over without stopping. They did not return this evening.
