yesterday, i was driving south along west snoqualmie valley road, and found
one adult and three juveniles in a tree just south of the tualco
intersection, north of the first farm. while enjoying them, i had two more
adults and three more juveniles on the air surfing the thermals on the
western ridgeline... not three minutes later, THEY were joined by two more
juveniles and a singular harrassing crow... all but one of the iggles
headed south towards the carnation farms, and i'm betting the one juvenile
that went north came south again with the aerialists minutes later...

Earlier today, to the North of this area, at the Cherry Valley WA Fish &
Wildlife Resource Area (parking permit required); we had what seemed to us
to be a high count of 15 Bald Eagles for this area. 7 were immatures;
mostly 2nd winter birds. . . .
