Hi Gene & Tweeters,

Sounds like a perfectly beautiful day for getting in some exersize and bird
watching. I got the bug and went to the end of the road on the Granite
Falls side of the Mountain Loop Highway today. The day was just beautiful and the
birds were busy. I snowshoed up the road from Deer Creek up to the Big Four
Parking area and back. I had lots of Stellar Jays, Black-capped Chickadees,
Pine Siskins, and Red Cross-bill too. I had a Red-breasted Sapsucker along the
river also. Either way, birding or just getting out to enjoy such a great
day, is worth the effort.
