I noticed all the juncos in one of the areas where we spread seeds
were very still, and I looked with the binoculars and found that they
were all sunning, in various poses with feathers fluffed, wings
extended, and even on their sides. They often have their eyes closed
and - totally subjective - look mesmerized with ecstasy. They
appreciate that rare resource as much as we do!

I hope all the rest of you are out birding, not perched in front of a
computer screen.
