Hi, Tweeters: Today we saw our first Snowy Owl for the year on Cameron
Lake Rd. in Okanogan Co. From the Monse River Rd., southern end, you
drive about 5 miles after the pavement ends. On the left (north) side of
the road there is a short post with a silver metal numeral 2 on it and a
piece of bright pink flagging tape. The owl was to the south, on a rock
on the horizon. It may have been a mile away, so not much detail. So, we
went on to Dougls Co., Rd. H (Mary Jane Hill) east of Mansfield where we
met Ruth Sullivan's group and had an incredible view of another Snowy Owl
there. I will let one of them tell you the details. Also, saw our first
Killdeer in Ok. Co. Meredith Spencer, Bridgeport, Wash. 98813
