Hi tweets,

My wife and I were leaving Starbucks on 220th and Hwy 99 in Lynnwood when we noticed about a dozen crows causing a commotion in a small stand of trees at the northwest end of the parking lot. A close investigation of the trees revealed that the crows were upset about a raccoon that was sleeping away the daylight hours in the sheltering branches of a fir. One of the crows really caught our eye. He had striking white primaries and a little white crescent-shaped area on his chin. I have seen crows with white remiges before, and a few with wihte rectrices, but this is the first time I have seen random white spots elsewhere on their body. If I see the bird again I'll try to get some photos.

Speaking of photos, I have uploaded a few new ones to my website in the last couple days. There are new photos of a few different passerines, hummingbirds, and killdeer. I have links to the galleries that have been updated on my publications/appearances page here: http://www.goatislandimages.com/Publications%20and%20Appearances.htm#Latest%20Updates

Happy birding!
