Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday February 21. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

The Brownsmead ARCTIC LOON was not seen during the week and may be gone. Two
MOUNTAIN PLOVERS are now being seen on the beach at Flores Lake, just north
of Cape Blanco. A possible JACK SNIPE was reported February 19 at Stewart
Ponds in Eugene. It could not be relocated.

Over two hundred TREE SWALLOWS were at Ridgefield NWR February 16. SANDHILL
CRANES made a major northward movement over the Willamette Valley during the
week. A few were even along the coast. RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS are now scattered
all along the coast and on February 18 one was near Grants Pass. Migrating
SAY?S PHOEBES and BAND-TAILED PIGEONS were also being reported.

On February 17 two ROCK SANDPIPERS were on the South Jetty of Tillamook Bay.
A SNOW BUNTING was seen February 16 on Walton Beach on the east side of
Sauvie Island. A GYRFALCON was reported on the Island February 17. The
Scappoose TREE SPARROW is still being seen. A BOHEMIAN WAXWING was east of
Washougal February 17. The next day one was in Astoria. The Bend BOHEMIAN
WAXWING is still being seen.
