Subject: [Tweeters] Red crossbills in lower Snohomish County

Just had a flock of about 25 loud chattering red-crossbills in a fir tree.
This is the largest number and only the third time in 17 years I have seen
them on my property. Last night during the eclipse a Barred Owl flew into
the tree next to where a group of us were watching the moon and shortly
began a commentary, much to the delight of the kids. This is the third time
that a Barred owl has flown closer to a group of people here.
