I got a much better look at A hummer today and there is NO rufous and it is pretty gray. so i am now pretty
convinced it is an Anna's, but there is only a handful of gorget feathers and of course in the fog down here
this am, I can' see any color. I will assume it is the same bird I saw on Friday.

Could it possibly be a juvie already?? surely they are sitting on eggs at the most. ?

I've lived here 30 years and would swear that this is a first Anna's for the Puyallup valley. It's freezing out
here every night and I'm miles from the water.
