Hi Tweets,

After a long and headachey night, I woke at noon today and plopped
myself down on the couch with my paper and coffee. I felt a little
crabby, but was glad that the sun was out again. From my spot on the
couch, I can see the suet and hummingbird feeders that hang above my
tiny apartment deck. And within ten minutes, I saw two Anna's
Hummingbirds jockeying for feeder position, an assortment of House
Sparrows, Dark-eyed Juncos, and Black-capped Chickadees battling a
lone European Starling for suet rights, a Yellow-rumped Warbler
exploring my potted honeysuckle, a first-year Bald Eagle soaring on
beautiful, dark wings above my apartment complex, and two very vocal
Belted Kingfishers crossing the sky, calling all the way to their
burrows just north of me.

Well, the headache is waning, the crabbiness is gone, and it's clearly
a gorgeous day for all creatures.

Happy birding (or couch-birding) to all!
