My dad, brother and I went birding in the Okanogan Friday and
Saturday. We saw: European starling, American Goldfinch, Black-capped
Chicadee, Amerian Crow, Red-Tailed Hawk, Rock Pigeon, Ring-billed
Gull, Bald Eagle, Rough-legged Hawk, Northern Flicker, Brewers
Blackbird, Blackbilled Magpie, American Kestral, American Coot,
Ring-necked Duck, Canvasback, Redhead, Ruddy Duck, Common Loon,
Bufflehead, Horned Grebe, American Robin, Cooper's Hawk, Northern
Harrier, White Pelican, Common Merganzer, Bohemian Waxwing, House
Sparrow, California Quail, Dark-eyed Junco, Wild Turkeys, Northern
Shrike, Varied Thrush, Red-winged Blackbird, Red-breasted Nuthatch,
Mountain Chickadee, Downy Woodpecker, Sharp-tailed Grouse, Hairy
Woodpecker, Northern Goshawk, Townsend's Solitaire, Evening Grosbeak,
Song Sparrow, Clark's Nutcracker, Say's Phoebe, Horned Lark, Western
Meadowlark, Gray Partridge.

We realized that we probably would have seen as many species (48) in a
two-hour trip to the Fill, but certainly not the same ones! Zack
