Point Wilson second observation period 1400-1610, temp 46 degrees, incoming
tide.



When I arrived the Common Murre were moving out of Admiralty Inlet into the
Straits in large numbers. From 1400-1518 an average of 46 birds passed by my
position every minute for 78 minutes a total of 3588 birds. Then from
1518-1610 there were an average of 11 birds per minute for total of 572
birds. The combined total of Common Murre seen from 1400-1610 was 4160
birds.



I'm glad I came back in the afternoon. These are the kinds of days I will
always remember. Most every day I am the only one at Point Wilson acquiring
images or observing birds and that's fine with me. Point Wilson is a great
birding spot and to live so close, I am fortunate.
