A group of us picked up friends at the Keystone ferry, whidbey island and
stopped to look at shorebirds in Crockett Lake. Lot of harriers and then
suddenly 2 short-eared owls came in and hunted for about 20 minutes at the
south end of the lake where it's all brown winter vegetation. Great site and
close-up views.
