Boy, I must have been hung over yesterday when I posted my first bird of the
year.

Yes, I did hear a GREAT HORNED OWL first, but I did not see a GOLDEN-CROWNED
KINGLET. I saw a GOLDEN CROWNED SPARROW under the feeders, along with a
couple of SPOTTED TOWHEES and SONG SPARROWS.

By the end of the day I had 13 species including a GREAT BLUE HERON that
perched on my neighbor's roof....nowhere near water. It has been around for a
couple of weeks now.
