Marv Breece and I birded a part of Julia Butler Hansen NWR in the dark and had Cackling Geese, both Virginia and Sora Rails with distant Great Horned Owls. After sunrise we birded Pacific County.

Birds of note were three different looking (Sooty) Fox Sparrows at Tokeland ranging from light to very dark birds, and a small flock of Western Bluebirds north of North Cove on Smith-Anderson Road near a house with the address 3590. This was about dark and the birds were moving north looking for a roost site.
