Hello all,
Our county list is starting out slow this year due to spending New Years Day
up looking at the Black-headed Gull and Northern Hawk Owl (GREAT way to
start the year!) but folks did get out yesterday and found some birds to
start off.
The worst miss of 2007 (we ended with 256) was Harris's Sparrow which of
course showed up today at the feeders where the Anna's Hummingbird is still
coming in. Folks yesterday found two Say's Phoebe's out near Touchet and the
Eurasian Collared-Doves are still there. So we are up to 46 species for the
year. Today there are three Wilson's Snipe along Stone Creek by Walmart -
and Mike and I did not see one until March last year! Bohemian Waxwings are
around town but no winter finches.
