I spent Monday at Samish Flats watching and photographing Short-eared Owls.
I was quite surprised to see two of them taking turns harassing a Peregrine
Falcon just sitting on a pole minding it's own business. The peregrine
seemed to cower from the passes of the owls and eventually flew away with an
owl in pursuit.
