After seeing the owl in the morning and in the afternoon, and from what we heard, it seemed to hang out at the large electrical switchyard all day. In the afternoon we were lucky to find it fairly close to the highway and approach it as it perched on the chain-link fence on the perimeter of the area. The gull flew back and forth between log booms at Coulee Playland in Electric City and the orange booms and buoys on the far side of the lake. It was difficult to get close to.
