A new year...a new list to start! This early afternoon I drove from Elma to Brady to see what I could find. The weather was dry to start then the rain and wind came a bit later. The west end of Wenzel Slough Road at its intersection with Keys Road hosted a large flock of Mew Gulls on both north and south sides of the intersection. I was able to pick out two Thayer's Gulls and one Herring Gull amidst the Mews.

On the east side of the Brady Loop Road, I found a small group of Tundra Swans with a couple Trumpeters mixed in. On Schafer Boom Road, there was a nice mixed group of ducks that included one Eurasian Wigeon. There was also a small flock of about 50 Dunlin in the wet field with the ducks.

I ended the day with 46 species which included a few yard birds that I saw throughout the day.
