This afternoon Sherry and I ventured down to the mouth of the Cedar
River in Renton and watched the gulls from 2:45pm to 4:50pm. The
Slaty-backed Gull did not make an appearance. There were a couple of
gulls that I tried to turn into a Slaty-backed, but they lacked the pale
eye and the smudge through the eye. However we did see lots of other
birds during that time, and we had no rain.
200+ Western Grebes (could not pick out any Clark's due to distance)

Hooded Mergansers
2 Canvasbacks
31 Greater White-fronted Geese
1 Peregrine Falcon
Western Gulls
Thayer's Gulls
Herring Gulls
Glaucous-winged Gulls (and hybrids)
1 California Gull
3 Ringed-billed Gulls

This morning before heading to Renton, I checked the pond at the end of
Goodrich Road here in Centralia. Not much on the pond but some, Northern
Pintails, Northern Shovelers, American Wigeon, lots of Black-bellied
Plovers and lots of Dunlin.
At Borst Park in Centralia, I had 1 Thayer's Gull, 1 Herring Gull, and 1
Western Gull.
