On the subject of hybrid Flickers, I find it exciting to see variations of Red/Yellow Shafted.
The most interesting I've seen (just yesterday) in my yard was a male with red moustach, slight red nape, and yellow underside wings and tail. We watched the said hybrid having a 'bobbing' session with a more typical western red-shafted male later in the afternoon. I've seen other variations in the past but this is a first with the yellow "shaft".
