Regarding your trivia question about the four-letter code for cedar
waxwing...

I thought I knew the answer right away. It must be, I thought, that
cerulean warbler had first dibs on CEWA, but, before writing to tell you
this I checked, and cerulean warbler has the code CERW, and, as far as I can
tell, no species is assigned CEWA.
