There was a nice mixed flock of ducks near the Mount Baker Rowing
Center Wednesday afternoon. It was mostly coots with a handful of
gadwall, several ring-necked ducks, a few scaup, some widgeon and 18
canvasbacks. They were very close to the parking lot, on the east
side, diving and milling about 15 feet out from the bulkhead.
