I've used "dairy boots" for several years for various things. Working in the yard, slogging through mud puddles in the woods, even used them at a job I had in a tropical fish warehouse. Lots of water on the floors.

They're relatively inexpensive (last time I bought them they were about $20.00), calf high, thoroughly waterproof, comfortable, long lasting, good soles for gripping the mud. The last pair I've had now for well over 10 years, good investment for the $20 I probably paid (so long ago I can't remember) and they're still waterproof.

places to find them are: McLendons, sporting goods stores, Fred Meyers.....maybe, discount shoe stores (but probably not at the mall), probably feed stores.

good birding shoes, too.
