30+ siskins at my feeders and in the western red cedar on adjacent property
in Longview today between down pours. Only second year at this location, but
not this many at one time last year. A few house finches, purple finches, 2
goldfinches, house sparrows and many juncos knocking food out of feeders.
Juncos, sparrows, pine siskin and a dozen mourning dove feeding on the
spillage. Also had one black-capped chickadee and one chestnut-backed join in the
frenzy.
