I just received the latest issue of: "Northwestern Naturalist" and
thought this article might be of interest to those that have an interest
in WA State's Ancient Murrelets (particularly their nesting in the state):


Sealy, Spencer G., and Harry R. Carter. 2007. Revisiting Washington's
nesting record of the Ancient Murrelet. Northwestern Naturalist
88(3):198-203.

The article discussed Ralph Hoffmann's nesting record of Ancient Murrelet
from 1924. Hoffmann is best know for his book: Birds of the Pacific
States" first published in 1927. That book is still a good read even
today.
