Yesterday morning after finishing a 24 hour shift, I had to head up to Tonasket to put some money in my son's account - those college kids! Even though I was quite tired, I decided to do a quick check on some favorite spots. I got some good photos of some cooperative Red Crossbills, saw a few other birds and then on Mary Ann Creek Rd. finally found some good numbers of Common Redpolls again. Found a couple of very light individuals. Using Sibley's latest indices ( http://sibleyguides.blogspot.com/ ) these might be candidates for Hoary's.
It was not until I got back took a nap and then started going through the hundreds of photos on my computer that I discovered a lifer! You can see the pics and read details at http://canondigitalslrs.com/
Hope you all have a good day,
