Cascades to Costa Rica- Following Neotropical Migrants

North Cascades Institute is offering a trip to Costa Rica with Libby
Mills from March 24 to April 3 to study the neotropical migrant birds
of the Skagit Valley that winter in Central America. It's a pilot
program and, due to a last-minute cancellation, one spot is available
for a male participant (shared room).

Libby is a great teacher, a gifted birder and a lot of fun to travel
with. Megan McGinty, the Institute's bilingual staff naturalist and
an experienced Costa Rica traveler, will accompany the excursion.
We've enlisted a highly recommended in-country guide, so you can be
sure you'll see the "real" Costa Rica while enjoying comfortable
accommodations, first class dining and guided trips to cultural
attractions.
Participants will be guests at a complimentary post-trip "reunion" at
the Learning Center to share photos, stories and memories of the
trip; proceeds benefit participation by Hispanic students in Mountain
School.
If this sounds like your type of adventure, or if you would like more
information, please contact Deb Martin immediately at (360) 856-5700
ext. 309 with your questions or to register for this space. Full
tuition is due upon registration.
If you would like to receive information about our tentative 2009
trip, please send an email with "Costa Rica 2009" in the subject line
to megan_mcginty at ncascades.org.
