Jeff Jendro of Longview and I drove out to Brownsmead, Oregon today in search of the Arctic Loon. We found it quickly and had great close looks at it. A life bird for me.

Also, we birded around Longview and found two notable birds. A lone Great Egret was found in a wet ditch in the industrial area. Near, the Willow Grove boat launch we observed a single White-throated Sparrow with some Golden-crowned Sparrows. Lots of waterfowl was seen today as well.
