>From 4:30-5pm we were searching through the very large flock of gulls that
were gathered around the log floats off Gene Coulon Park. We found a
Slaty-backed Gull; very dark gray mantle, white head except for smudging
around the eyes. The gull sticks out in the flock by having such a darker
mantle. We did not find a Glaucous Gull.
